The Everyday News about an Everyday Family

02/13/09**  Happy Friday the 13th Had a late start to this years edition but here we are ready for your reading pleasure   Some how I swallowed a nasty virus which caused many problems with the publishing PC.  Had to turn it over to a professional.  Good thing I have the laptop, fondly known as Little 1, or I would have been shut off from the cyber world all together and that just would not do!!! All is well with the family. I had a few health issues towards the end of 2008.  I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks and they began to take over my world.  A visit to my doctor and all is good now and we're sitting back waiting on Springs arrival.  We had some snow earlier this month.  It seems the older I get the less I like the crap, but compared to some weather conditions in other parts of the country I won't complain to much.  Mike has always said he wants to retire to Florida.  Some times that sounds good I think I would really miss seeing the seasons change though.  Work is really slow for Mike.  The economy is really taking a toll in the housing market.  No one buying houses so no need for him to run gas pipe to them.  We're all hoping for a turn around soon.  Susan is still looking for employment, however she has become quite the cooking diva   She and Deb have completed the outside remake of their house.  It looks great and I love the windows they had installed.  Now I'm jealous and want new windows too   Mom and Ted have also completed a remake.  The Florida house now has a new kitchen and dining room. I think they all have been watching a lot of 'Flip this house'

02/14/09**  Happy Valentines Day!!!   Mike and I decided not to exchange anything this year but we did treat each other to breakfast at our local diner and tonight will be a special dinner of chicken and pineapple rice.  He made that for me on our first date   I know romantic, aye

02/20/09**  Today is McCoy's 4th birthday.  It's hard to believe he's 4 already.  Seems like only yesterday we brought him home and for the first 5 minutes after I put him on the ground and he wouldn't walk.  I thought something was wrong since we got him from a dairy farm where he and his 8 other brothers and sisters were kept in the barn in an elevated wire cage, but that's all it took and he's been running the yard every since.   It's also hard to believe Hatfield has been gone just as long.  I just know he and McCoy would have been bestest buds and I still miss him all the time.  Again I'll be annoying McCoy to get his 4 year old pic   I'll be posting it on the homepage

11/01/09**  Long time no talk   Our Spring and Summer weather was great this year.  Summer was not as hot as the past few years.  Things are good and our garden did wonderful.  We're planning on planting lots more next year since it seems we have finally found the spot.  No peaches, but plenty hot peppers for jelly makin'.  Mike, Deb, Susan and I are off to visit Mom and Ted in Florida soon.  They have always wanted all of us to come visit together so it'll be an early Thanksgiving with them and their 40th Wedding Anniversary gift from us.  The temps are starting to drop here so it'll be nice to take a dip in the Florida sunshine   The economy has hit our home and Mike is now only working 32 hours/4 days a week.  He's found things around the house to keep him busy and so far we're still able to afford ourselves, but we're hoping for a turn about soon so he can get back to a 40 hour week.  We put in central air this summer.  AH.....that's nice and even better we get a tax credit I'm hoping 2010 will bring us new windows Susan got a job in March and really likes being back to work again   Deb has finally decided to get a new car.  I'm glad...she needs one   I'm doing well.  I've gained some weight which is NOT what I wanted to do but it seems like a good sniff of the wind and I gain a pound   Back on the treadmill is a must and a closer watch on the elbow to mouth thing   Fall is my favorite time of year and also the time my panic/anxiety shows it's ugly face but so far I've made it through October and things are OK.  I still have times when I need to tell myself how to rationalize but things are good and life feels better.  I turned 50 in April   What the heck is that

12/31/09**  Another edition in 2010.  How will you say it....two thousand ten or twenty ten
